The FUT Esports team, featuring Ukrainian players cmtry and dem0n, has had a difficult start in Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, losing to G2 Esports and now finding themselves on the verge of elimination.
Both teams won their own map picks. G2 took Overpass with a 13–5 scoreline, while FUT responded on Ancient with a 13–6 victory.
The decider was Mirage. FUT were unable to stabilize their performance on the final map, allowing G2 to close it out 12–9 and secure the series 2–1.

Following this defeat, FUT drop into the 0–2 bracket and can no longer afford any mistakes. They now need three consecutive wins to reach the playoffs. G2 move into the 1–1 bracket.
IEM Cologne Major 2026 continues to host the tournament from June 2 to June 21, with a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
