Today, Ghost of Yotei launches the Legends mode, a cooperative experience for up to four players. The free update will be available with patch 1.5 for all game owners.
Developers shared details on mechanics, missions, boss fights, classes, progression, and difficulty levels. Legends builds on the success of Ghost of Tsushima’s Legends mode, transforming the story’s bosses and warlords into mythical threats. For example, a warlord may become a 15-foot-tall demonic boss, perfect for large-scale multiplayer encounters.
At launch, players will face four bosses: The Spider, the Oni, the Kitsune, and the Snake. The Dragon and Lord Saito will arrive in April with the Raid.

«Other Legends missions are optional co-op, but this raid is designed for four players. You cannot complete it without a full team», — says Darren Bridges of Sucker Punch.
Players can choose their class and difficulty, affecting enemies, XP gain, and loot quality. Two-player story missions and four-player Incursion missions are available, with one Incursion per boss. There’s also a Survival mode where four players defend zones against waves of enemies, triggering blessings or curses depending on success.
Meanwhile, the PC port of Ghost of Yotei has been canceled at a late stage of development. According to insider DetectiveSeed, the port was nearly ready for a planned 2026 release. However, due to a sudden change in Sony’s strategy, the project was scrapped. This surprised even some who follow PlayStation closely, as other ports like Saros had not progressed far, so their cancellation was less unexpected.

As a Reminder, L’Escape Hotel and Blizzard unveiled a themed room for World of Warcraft fans.
