Guide to Raider's Refuge — How to Open the Basement

The Raider's Refuge location in ARC Raiders on the Blue Gate map hides a secret basement filled with valuable loot. To access it, players need to solve a small puzzle by finding and activating hidden buttons.

How to Find the Basement

The basement is located in the central area of Raider's Refuge. You’ll recognize it by the large closed metal doors set into the floor, with four lamps positioned above them. Each time you press a correct button, one of the lamps lights up. The doors will only open once all four lamps are lit.

How to Find the Buttons

The main challenge is that there are far more buttons than needed — there are 23 known possible spawn points in total, but only four random buttons are active in each raid.

You’ll need to search the area for small yellow or gray panels that you can interact with. Since the button locations change every time, it’s recommended to check open areas first and then carefully inspect rooftops and hidden corners.

Main Button Search Locations

Near the basement doors:

• One of the buttons is often located very close by — on a wall or behind rusty beams to the right of the entrance.

Outer walls of the building:

• Walk around the Refuge perimeter. Check behind bushes, under ventilation units, and behind sheets of scrap metal on the western and southern sides.

Roof and rafters:

• Many buttons are hidden on upper levels. Climb onto the roof using ladders or crates. Look between roof planks, near ziplines, or on beams just under the roof.

Inside the main building:

• Check the ground floor. Buttons may be hidden behind computer monitors, under desks, or in corners behind furniture.

Nearby outbuildings:

• Don’t forget to inspect the smaller buildings nearby. Buttons often spawn near generators or fuse boxes.

Tips for Success

Listen for audio cues:

• When you press the correct button, you’ll hear a distinct mechanical sound, and one of the basement door lamps will light up.

Work as a team:

• If you’re playing with friends, split up. One player can stay near the basement doors to monitor the lamps while others search the area.

Stay alert:

• Raider's Refuge is a popular farming spot, so you may encounter other players or hostile ARC robots while searching for buttons.

What’s Inside the Basement?

Once all four lamps are lit, the doors will open. Inside, you’ll find chests containing epic loot, rare resources, and Blueprints that significantly boost your in-game progression.
