On April 11, the hacker group ShinyHunters claimed to have gained access to the internal systems of Rockstar Games. The attackers demanded a ransom to prevent the stolen data from being released.

Today, April 13, BBC reported that the hackers are planning to publish the data because “their demands were not met.”

Earlier, Rockstar Games confirmed the breach, stating that “access to a limited amount of non-critical company information was obtained due to a third-party data leak,” and added that the incident “does not affect our organization or our players.”

According to The CyberSec Guru, the hackers are believed to have obtained corporate data, including Rockstar’s marketing plans for GTA 6, but not the game’s source code.

The hackers claim they did not breach Rockstar directly but accessed the data through a third-party service. The alleged entry point was the Anodot platform, from which access tokens were obtained. Using these, the attackers were able to connect to Snowflake’s cloud infrastructure used by the studio.

As a reminder, FUT Esports won BSC 26: S3 EMEA MF.
