In just two days, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will launch on PC. This is a port of the highly acclaimed game by Hideo Kojima, originally released in June 2025 and currently exclusive to PlayStation 5.

Previously, the developers confirmed that the PC version supports all major controllers, works with ultrawide monitors, and includes modern upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XeSS 2. In addition, the game will introduce Pico scaling technology, developed by Guerrilla Games specifically for the Decima engine. It works on any GPU and can be combined with frame generation methods.

However, it turns out the update is not limited to technical improvements. Kojima is also preparing new content that may surprise players. During a podcast, the Japanese developer revealed that alongside the PC release, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will receive a major update. It will include a variety of unusual additions, including live-action cutscenes that were previously cut from the game. Sam will experience even more surreal and unsettling nightmares, while new gear and a creepy cat will appear in his room.

Hardcore players will get access to a new difficulty mode called To The Wilder, as well as the ability to replay boss battles, including encounters with Neil.

On PlayStation 5, a 21:9 Ultrawide mode will also be added, enhancing the cinematic feel of the game. Additionally, gameplay mechanics and balance will be adjusted based on player feedback.

The PC release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and the update are scheduled for March 19.

As a Reminder, Resident Evil Requiem sets franchise record with 6 million copies sold in 16 days.
