Prox's Request is one of the early quests you'll encounter in Crimson Desert. While the mission seems straightforward at first glance, many players run into an unexpected issue with the quest items.
Prox will ask you to deliver counterfeit goods, but due to inattentiveness, it's very easy to accidentally sell them to merchants. In this guide, we'll walk through how to start and quickly complete this quest, as well as what to do if you accidentally lose the required painting.
To begin the quest, head east of the letter "D" in the word "Hernand" on the global map. You need the Goldleaf Trading Post, located at Serkis Estate.
There you'll meet a goblin named Prox. Talk to him — he'll task you with delivering counterfeit goods to an investigator. Important tip: complete this quest immediately after receiving it, as you may accidentally sell the quest items during your next visit to a shop.
Steps to Complete:
Note: If the goblin doesn't respond to you, simply wait for him to return to his usual routine and try again.
Reward: A Medium Bag filled with Flawless Timber.
If you approached the NPC at the trading post but cannot deliver the items, it means only one thing: you accidentally sold or discarded the painting that needed to be delivered. Fortunately, the developers provided a way to fix this situation.
How to Find a New Painting:
If you smashed everything but the painting didn't appear, use Fast Travel to the Ancient Ruins Abyss Nexus (note: you'll need to solve a puzzle there first), then return to Fort Perwin to let the crates respawn. Repeat this cycle until you obtain the item.
Besides crates, the required painting can sometimes be found in carts on the roads, or looted from Bleed Bandits in the Hernand region. However, the crate-smashing method near Fort Perwin remains the easiest and fastest approach.
