Exploring the world of Orbis and conquering late game dungeons requires more than just powerful weapons. Strong armor and reliable gear are essential to survive heavy enemy hits and confidently clear high level zones.

Players begin their journey with the Copper armor set. As exploration continues, various ores can be found across the map. Using the Armorer’s Workbench, these materials are refined into ingots and crafted into progressively stronger armor sets.

★ At the moment, the Mithril set cannot be obtained because the ore does not spawn on the map and the set has no passive effects. This makes Adamantite the highest tier crafting material currently available. Players can also craft shields of various rarities at the Armorer’s Workbench to pair with one handed weapons.

How armor works in Hytale

Armor progression in Hytale serves a dual purpose. It provides essential protection while also granting passive effects that enhance your character when facing tougher challenges.

Early game tiers such as Copper and Iron focus strictly on improving physical and projectile resistance against basic enemy attacks and offer no additional bonuses.

Once the Armorer’s Workbench is upgraded to level two, the system expands significantly. Crafting a Thorium set grants poison resistance on every piece, which is crucial in the desert region where flying enemies rely on venomous strikes. Alternatively, Cobalt armor boosts Signature Attack damage, increasing the impact of ultimate abilities during intense encounters.

Currently, Adamantite stands as the strongest available set. It provides a light damage boost that increases overall weapon lethality. Since Hytale is still in early access, future updates are expected to introduce new armor sets with broader defensive and offensive bonuses, allowing for deeper customization based on individual playstyles.
