While roaming planets and docking at Space Stations in No Man's Sky, you might come across locked containers or hidden doors that require an AtlasPass to access. This guide breaks down what AtlasPasses are and explains the steps to obtain one.

AtlasPasses come in three tiers, each granting access to specific locked items or doors, functioning like a key. Fortunately, each pass can be used repeatedly. They must be crafted and carried in your inventory to work.

★ Higher-level passes, such as v3, automatically provide the abilities of the lower versions, so older passes can be discarded or shared with other players.
All three types of AtlasPasses can be created, but first, you need the corresponding blueprints. These are available for purchase at the Synthesis Laboratory aboard the Anomaly.
Each blueprint costs 250 Nanites, but you must unlock the previous pass levels first, even if you don’t intend to craft them. This means reaching AtlasPass v3 will require a total of 750 Nanites.

After summoning the Anomaly in space and landing, climb the stairs on the left side of the Nexus. At the end of the corridor, turn left toward the floating model of the Anomaly. Several NPCs and stations are located nearby, and the Synthesis Laboratory can be found on the right.
Here, players can unlock a variety of technologies, sometimes with the help of NPCs like Eos. The new Gravity Gun is one of the devices you can acquire here.

Each AtlasPass is crafted in your inventory, but the required materials differ depending on the pass

Microprocessors themselves have a blueprint, available at the Synthesis Laboratory. Each Microprocessor requires 40 Chromatic Metal and 1 Carbon Nanotube to craft. Copper, Cadmium, and Emeril become progressively rarer and are found in specific planetary deposits.
★ These resources are also needed to create Chromatic Metal for Microprocessors, so expect to mine a significant amount with your Terrain Manipulator.
