Swedish veteran Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson admitted that he had seriously considered retiring from his professional career before receiving an offer from the EYEBALLERS organization.

In an interview with Esportstudion, the esports player revealed that he was completely ready to walk away from the professional scene. However, everything changed after a conversation with his long-time fnatic teammate, Jesper "JW" Wecksell.

"I was about to retire, but then I had a few very pleasant conversations with Mr. Jesper Wecksell," KRIMZ shared.

According to the player, the main reason for continuing to compete was the desire to genuinely enjoy the game again. Currently, he is thoroughly enjoying the process, which directly helps him perform at his best on the server.

KRIMZ also noted that while he enjoyed playing for fnatic, the current atmosphere at EYEBALLERS reminds him of the best years of his career. The social climate in the new team was the key factor in his decision, as the old emotions were no longer present at fnatic.

At the end of the conversation, the Swedish veteran added that he convinced himself to make the move, telling himself:

"You'll regret it if you don't agree now."

Ultimately, it was the call from JW and the opportunity to compete in a comfortable environment that kept the legendary Swedish player on the professional CS2 scene.

Reminder, Steve Allison has left Epic Games: the former Epic Games Store executive will lead Saber Interactive's business division.
