The organizers of the IESF World Esports Championship 2024 have allowed the belarusian Dota 2 team to play at the tournament with its national symbols at the final stage of the championship. The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, and the Federation of Esports of Ukraine protested against this.

Representatives of the Ukrainian side sent an appeal in which they noted that there was an agreement under which representatives of russia and belarus could only compete in IESF tournaments under a neutral flag. Therefore, Ukraine calls on the IESF to follow the requirements of the IOC and allow belarusians to compete only as neutral athletes.

It is reported that if russians and belarusians compete in IESF tournaments using national symbols, the national teams of Ukraine in CS2, Dota 2 and other esports disciplines will boycott IESF events.
