The International Esports Federation (IESF) has not yet determined the host location for this year’s World Esports Championships 2026. The information became known to the editorial team of Players through its own sources.
One of the potential host countries under consideration was Serbia, but the IESF was unable to finalize the necessary agreements.
Previously, World Esports Championships 2024 was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In 2025, World Esports Championships 2025 took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. However, that edition featured only a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament, while competitions in other disciplines were not held.
