The legendary Swedish AWPer Jesper “JW” Wecksell, who has been on the professional Counter-Strike scene for over 15 years, has become the first player to surpass 3,000 maps played on HLTV. This achievement is far from easy, as only about 50 players in the world have more than 2,000 maps, and reaching such a number requires not only longevity but also not retiring.
As for his trophies, he is a four-time Major champion with Fnatic (DreamHack Winter 2013, ESL One Katowice 2015, ESL One Cologne 2015). He also has 3 MVPs and has been featured in the HLTV Top 20 three times. After his time with Fnatic, JW moved to the classic EYEBALLERS tag, which then and still now competes at the Tier 2 level and only in 2026 managed to qualify for an S tier event. Still, it seems that this state of things suits the Swede just fine, and he remains one of the most legendary players in the history of the game.

It is worth noting that he is not the absolute leader in the history of Counter-Strike. Since maps from the first version of the game, Counter-Strike 1.6, are also counted in the statistics, the current overall leader is the still-active player Finn “karrigan” Andersen.
