On August 27 at BLAST Open Porto 2026, the second matchday of the group stage came to an end. Four teams picked up victories in their opening matches, while the biggest stories of the day were Vitality's shocking defeat and Legacy's victory over FUT.
The central match of the day was the clash between Legacy and FUT — two teams that had recently finished third and second, respectively, at EWC 2026.
This time, Legacy came out on top. The Brazilian squad closed out the series 2:0, winning Ancient 13:10 and Dust2 13:11.
FUT's lineup features two Ukrainian players — cmtry and dem0n. FUT's highest-rated player in the series was xfl0ud, while Legacy's try — 1.31 posted the highest rating for his team.
The second map proved to be particularly tense. FUT came close to taking the series to a third map, but Legacy managed to hold on to its advantage and close out the match.
As a result, Legacy started BLAST Open Porto with a victory and advanced to the upper bracket, while FUT will continue their run in the lower bracket.
The biggest upset of the day came in the Inner Circle vs. Vitality match.
Inner Circle secured a 2:0 victory and sent the French squad to the tournament's lower bracket. Vitality failed to take the series to a deciding map, losing on Cache after giving up a significant lead.
For Vitality, this was a particularly disappointing start following their run at EWC 2026. The team will now have to fight their way forward through the lower bracket.
In another match of the day, MOUZ comfortably defeated 9z — 2:0.
The European squad did not give their opponents a single map and started the tournament with a victory in the upper bracket of Group B.
The longest series of the day was the clash between Falcons and Lynn Vision.
Falcons secured a 2:1 victory and continued their run in the upper bracket. Lynn Vision dropped to the lower bracket following the defeat.

After the second day, Legacy and MOUZ opened their campaigns with 2:0 victories, Falcons secured a hard-fought win, while the biggest upset was Vitality's defeat to Inner Circle.
