Maincast will not provide Ukrainian-language coverage of VCT 2026: EMEA for VALORANT. This was announced by studio commentator Maksym zbr4 Tereshchenko.

The reason for this decision was a decline in interest from Ukrainian viewers in the matches. However, ZBR4 does not rule out that the studio could return to covering the discipline during Champions.

“It’s painful to talk about this, but let’s be honest: due to the semi-dead community in Ukraine, the decision was made to stop broadcasting this discipline. Every year the viewership kept shrinking. If in 2023 we could see up to 900 viewers during NAVI matches, then in 2025 it was 100–150 at best. I won’t even mention the rest of the teams.

I think there’s no need to explain how business works: advertisers, commentators’ salaries — it’s simply a negative story for the studio. Maybe we’ll come back for some Champions event, but that’s not guaranteed. I also can’t promise any watch parties from me and Solodana either — you understand the situation with electricity in Kyiv and the workload at the studio.

That’s how it is. Thank you for the four years during which you were with us on the broadcasts.”
