According to Newzoo, the global video game market is expected to grow by 6.1% in 2026, reaching $213.9 billion.
Mobile games will account for the largest share, generating $121.1 billion in revenue. Consoles will bring in $46.9 billion, while PC games will generate $45.9 billion.

The main driver of the console segment will be the November release of GTA VI, which, according to Newzoo’s estimates, will contribute to a 17.5% increase in spending on premium games. Without GTA VI, console market revenue would likely decline year over year.
The global number of players is expected to reach 3.7 billion, although audience growth is gradually slowing. As a result, the industry’s future growth will increasingly depend on retaining and monetizing existing players.
