According to Expressen, the Swedish esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas has announced the dismissal of all its employees in Sweden. The company’s operations will be fully relocated to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The club has long maintained a global headquarters in Abu Dhabi. This move is part of an agreement with the UAE government, under which NIP receives substantial subsidies for operating in the country. The organization had also offered its Counter-Strike 2 roster a relocation to the UAE, but the players declined.

The layoffs affect the entire Sweden-based staff.

Ninjas in Pyjamas is one of the oldest and most iconic esports organizations in the world, founded in Sweden in 2000. It gained legendary status благодаря its success in Counter-Strike.

As a reminder, PGL Singapore Major 2026 will feature a third-place match.
