NiP are currently fighting for a chance to qualify for the Major, making Stake Ranked Ep. 1 a very important tournament for them. To guarantee their spot at the Major, they need to win the event, although strong teams like GamerLegion, Heroic, and G2 are also competing.
It was against GamerLegion that NiP faced off in the upper bracket. Despite a strong start and winning the Nuke map, the Ninjas in Pyjamas were unable to close out the series and lost the next two maps, which sent them down to the lower bracket. Ukrainian player r1nkle posted a 1.29 rating, but it wasn’t enough to secure the victory.
In the lower bracket, NiP still have a chance to qualify for the Major, but they can no longer afford mistakes. Their next opponent will be Heroic.
