The space exploration game No Man’s Sky is coming to another platform. Starting October 28, iPhone and iPad owners will be able to explore its vast universe on Apple devices. The game is already available on PC and consoles across the current and previous generations.
Sean Murray, head of Hello Games, revealed that the team spent three years developing the iOS port. According to him, the studio aimed to deliver the full No Man’s Sky experience on Apple devices without compromising on graphics or gameplay.
«There’s something incredible about the idea that an entire universe can fit in your pocket. I don’t think people fully appreciate just how powerful these devices are. We wanted to deliver console-quality graphics and gameplay. The transition from a planet’s surface into open space and the touch controls have been implemented brilliantly. It’s the best gaming experience in its class on mobile devices. Everything you see on screen is generated in real time. It’s simply amazing that this is possible on a smartphone», — Murray said.

The iOS version of No Man’s Sky will include all the content from the original game, with no restrictions, including the COSMOS expansion released in September. Players will need an iPhone or iPad powered by an A12 Bionic chip or newer, meaning a device released in 2018 or later.
Players can already try the game through the App Store trial version.
