The ambitious action RPG Crimson Desert is set to launch next week, and many journalists are already calling it one of the main contenders for the best game of 2026.
The Korean studio Pearl Abyss has spent years developing the project, released numerous videos, and made several bold promises about the game. Now the developers have finally revealed the official PC system requirements, and they turned out to be surprisingly modest. This suggests that optimization was one of the studio’s top priorities.
According to the team, Crimson Desert will run on low and medium settings even on many office laptops and older desktop PCs. This approach could help the game reach a much broader audience.
The developers also shared information about the graphics modes available for console players, which are designed to satisfy different performance and visual preferences.

Originally, Crimson Desert was planned as a spin off of the popular MMORPG Black Desert, but during development it evolved into a fully standalone project.
Crimson Desert will launch on March 19 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
As a Reminder, Developers of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 reveal they built the game with almost no code.
