PGL is a Romanian organization that hosts esports tournaments and is primarily based in Romania. Today, the mayor of Cluj-Napoca, Emil Boc, announced that PGL will continue its cooperation with the city, and S-tier Counter-Strike 2 tournaments will keep taking place there at least until 2029.

This is a major achievement for Cluj-Napoca, as authorities in many cities across different countries have repeatedly emphasized that esports tournaments bring substantial financial benefits.

PGL made a loud return to Counter-Strike last year, announcing that it would host not only Major events. One of these was PGL Cluj-Napoca, which took place last year. Before that, a tournament in this city was held back in 2015 when DreamHack hosted a Major there, which ended with the victory of the French team EnVyUs.

As a reminder, Twitch gifted $50 worth of subscriptions to a 13-year-old streamer and then banned him.
