Over the past few years, many exclusives for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 have made their way to PC. However, well-known gaming journalist Jason Schreier reports that Sony may change its strategy.

The company may release only live service titles on PC, while traditional story-driven adventures remain console exclusives. “I think their strategy right now is: service games go to PC. But I get the sense that they’re moving away from the idea of bringing their exclusive console content — traditional single-player games — over there,” Schreier said on the Triple Click podcast.

The journalist believes that PC releases did not perform as successfully as expected, prompting Sony to potentially refocus on console sales.

An example cited is Marvel’s Wolverine, which is scheduled for release on September 15, 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5. A PC version has not been announced. Schreier suggests that the game may never launch on PC, or at the very least remain a console exclusive for the foreseeable future.

Reminder: Natus Vincere continue their partnership with Saucony.
