The Esports World Cup Foundation, the organizer of the Esports World Cup, announced that Prince William of the United Kingdom visited the esports event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During the visit, discussions focused on esports as a global sport and its impact on youth development, education, career opportunities, and community engagement.
Prince William also watched a VALORANT showmatch between the women’s teams of esports organizations Team Falcons and Twisted Minds. In addition, he played a game of Rocket League, facing Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF).
“It was a pleasure to welcome the Prince of Wales to the SEF Arena and share how esports in Saudi Arabia has evolved into a truly global sport and a platform for youth development,” said Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan.
