The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has confirmed that PUBG: Battlegrounds will be one of the official disciplines at the inaugural Esports Nations Cup 2026. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 11 to 15.

A total of 24 national teams will compete in the event. Twelve squads will receive direct invitations based on the national team rankings published by Krafton.

Another 10 teams will qualify through regional online qualifiers:

  • EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) — 4 slots
  • Americas — 2 slots
  • Asia — 2 slots
  • Southeast Asia & Oceania — 2 slots

Additionally, two teams will receive Wildcard invitations.

During the group stage, teams will be divided into three groups of eight. Following the group matches, the top 16 teams will advance to the Grand Final.

The Grand Final will follow the “Smash Rule” format (match point system). To become champions, a team must first reach a specific points threshold and then secure at least one match victory. The maximum number of matches in the final is 10.

PUBG has become the tenth confirmed title for the inaugural Nations Cup. Previously announced games include Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Valorant, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Honor of Kings, Trackmania, and others.

As previously reported, update 0.5 has been released for Assetto Corsa EVO.
