KRAFTON has announced a large-scale celebration for the 9th anniversary of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS. Players can expect a new game update, themed events, and a special music collaboration with the artist ALLDAY PROJECT.
By logging into the game during the event, players will receive a free anniversary pass. By completing missions, they can earn themed cosmetics, emotes, G-Coin, and BP.
Festive pop-up shops, billboards, and other surprises have appeared on the Rondo map.
Players can encounter a special character — Chicken Man. Defeating him or interacting with him grants Lucky Eggs, which may contain valuable loot such as weapons, level-3 gear, or an exclusive 9th anniversary Ghillie Suit.
Festive airdrops and drone light shows in the sky have been added across all maps.
On PC, the events started on March 11 after server maintenance and will last until the end of March.
On consoles, the celebration will begin on March 19.
In addition to the anniversary activities, update 40.2 also includes improvements for the Vikendi map and general gameplay fixes.
Reminder: Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami is currently working on a new AAA fantasy game.
