Capcom has announced another major milestone for Resident Evil Requiem. The game has sold over 6 million copies in just 16 days after release.
The ninth main entry in the iconic zombie series has become the fastest selling title in the franchise. The previous record holder was the highly acclaimed Resident Evil 4 remake.

This success is driven not only by the wide platform availability and strong technical performance, but also by the combination of two distinct gameplay styles that appeal to a broader audience..
Leon Kennedy’s chapters focus on fast paced action and closely resemble the style of Resident Evil 4, where he was also the central character. Meanwhile, the storyline featuring FBI analyst Grace takes inspiration from Resident Evil 7 and follows classic survival horror principles. She has limited combat skills, tires quickly, and cannot withstand many enemy attacks, forcing her to rely on stealth while still being able to defend herself in critical moments.

The game also includes a large amount of fan service and references. Several long running story arcs finally receive closure, although new mysteries emerge as well.
Capcom has already confirmed that a major story expansion is in development. A free update is also scheduled for May, adding a photo mode and a card based mini game.
As a Reminder, New trailer for the anime “Sekiro: No Defeat” released, premiere date announced.
