The third day of the Romanian event has come to an end. Today we saw the first teams packing their bags and heading to the airport in frustration, while others secured a spot in the playoffs and can now enjoy a couple of free days as the group stage continues.
Heroic took down 3DMAX, eliminating the French squad from the tournament. Despite playing with a stand-in, Heroic closed out the series 2:0. As for 3DMAX, things keep getting worse — this marks their sixth consecutive loss.
PaiN also exited the event after a 2:0 defeat to G2. The Brazilian roster still hasn’t found stability after signing new players for this season.
Vitality booked their playoff spot today — something almost everyone expected. The team is simply too strong right now, and they comfortably swept MOUZ 2:0.
The clash between FURIA and Falcons turned out to be much tougher. Beyond competitive stakes, the match also had a personal storyline — NiKo was celebrating his birthday and definitely didn’t want to lose. On top of that, FURIA had a four-match win streak against Falcons, giving the Europeans even more motivation. In the end, the “Falcons” powered through and clinched the series 2:1, securing their ticket to the playoffs.
