Riot Games Korea has reported a significant financial recovery in 2025 following a difficult 2024. The company released its audited results through South Korea’s DART filing system for the full year ending December 31, 2025.
The Korean division of Riot Games Inc., owned by Tencent, recorded total revenue of ₩491.3 billion (approximately $334.1 million). This marks a 10.8% increase compared to ₩443.3 billion in 2024.
Operating profit more than doubled, rising by 117.5% to ₩102.7 billion ($69.8 million), primarily driven by the integration of the LCK into the company. Net profit also increased by 51.8% to ₩98.2 billion ($66.8 million). Meanwhile, operating expenses decreased by 1.8%, indicating tighter cost control throughout the year.
The majority of the company’s revenue continues to come from in-game purchases. Around 93% of total revenue, or ₩458.7 billion ($311.9 million), came from skins, bundles, and in-game currency. Service revenue, which now includes esports operations, amounted to ₩27.5 billion ($18.7 million).
The 2025 results mark a clear turning point for Riot Games Korea. The company benefited from steady player spending on in-game content, improved cost management, and the integration of the LCK into its core business.
Reminder: Riot Games are in talks with BLAST, ESL, and PGL to assist with organizing VCT tournaments.
