Roblox has introduced Build, a new section within the Roblox mobile app that allows users to create basic 3D games using artificial intelligence directly from a smartphone. Concurrently, developers announced a suite of AI tools for the Roblox Studio platform. Nick Tornow, Senior Vice President of Engine, and Vlad Loktev, Chief Creator Ecosystem Officer, shared the news in a joint announcement.

The Build tool turns user text prompts into functional starting versions of games. Artificial intelligence automatically generates gameplay mechanics, the environment, characters, visual style, and sound. The system is powered by both open-source and proprietary Roblox AI models, trained on a vast dataset of 3D objects and gaming data.

Build shares a backend, models, and chat history with Roblox Studio. This allows creators to start a project on a mobile device and then continue scaling and deep-editing it on PC, or check on progress remotely.

Testing of Build features will begin on July 28 in a public alpha format for age-checked users in New Zealand (ages 9 and older). Once published and having passed the standard moderation review, projects will be globally available for players aged 16 and older.

The company emphasized that Roblox's discovery and recommendation systems rely on long-term audience retention metrics, so low-quality AI content ("AI slop") will not reach the homepage. A base-level version of Build will be available at no cost, with additional paid options for power users coming later.

Over the coming months, specialized intelligent agents will become available for professional creators across Build and Studio:

  • Playtesting agent — automatically surfaces errors and bugs before the game's release;
  • Analytics agent — provides answers regarding game metrics using plain language queries;
  • Experiment agent — identifies A/B tests to run to drive higher engagement, player retention, and monetization.

In addition, developers are expanding 3D content generation capabilities through Procedural Models technology (creating parametric objects from text or images) and the foundational 3D model Cube, which generates game-ready objects—from vehicles to weapons. A new model for generating complete, editable 3D scenes from a single prompt is also expected soon.

As a Reminder, Marvel Released a Full Trailer for the Movie "Avengers: Doomsday".
