A new entry in the Metro franchise may be officially announced as early as next week. The information comes from insider AlexandreNGamR, whose previous leaks — such as the date of State of Play were later confirmed by other well-known sources.
According to the rumor, fans can expect either a teaser trailer or a simple confirmation from the developers via social media. The game’s release is currently anticipated for late 2026 or early 2027.
The project has reportedly faced multiple challenges during development, including delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the full-scale war in Ukraine, both of which significantly slowed production.
Very little is known about the game so far, but 4A Games has confirmed that the story will be “even darker” than in Metro Exodus.
