According to recent reports from well-known insiders SargeOP_ and BigBadBear, the unannounced project by Riot Games under the working title Project T may have been canceled or is currently undergoing major internal changes.

Sources claim the game was being developed in the universe of the tactical shooter Valorant, and was supposed to combine multiple genres and gameplay systems.

Reported features of Project T

  • MMO-FPS elements and sandbox-style gameplay
  • Extraction-shooter format
  • Survival mechanics with Hunger and Fatigue systems
  • Seasonal progression system similar to modern live-service games

Status of other Riot Games projects

Amid the rumors about Project T, insiders also clarified the situation with other upcoming titles.

  • The League of Legends MMO is a separate project and its development is continuing normally.
  • Riot is also working on a large-scale multiplayer mobile game inspired by Genshin Impact, based on the League of Legends IP. According to insiders, this project has not been canceled and is still in development.

Reminder: Riot Games recently announced the LEC Rivals Challenge event, where players can earn rewards by playing League of Legends.
