Scopely, owned by Saudi Arabia through Savvy Games Group, a division of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in Turkish studio Loom Games. The deal is valued at over $1 billion.
Loom Games is a young studio founded in 2025. It is known for its mobile puzzle game Pixel Flow!, which launched late last year. In just a few months, the game attracted more than 10 million players worldwide and became the only casual title over the past year to break into the top 20 highest-grossing games in the United States.
The team of around 20 developers will remain in Istanbul and continue operating under the leadership of the founders as part of the Scopely ecosystem.
The acquisition highlights Saudi Arabia’s strategy to become a global hub for the gaming industry. Scopely itself — known for titles such as Monopoly Go! and Stumble Guys — was acquired by the Saudi fund in 2023 for $4.9 billion.
Earlier, Ubisoft unveiled an anime trailer for Operation “Silent Hunt.”
