Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp has announced that he is leaving the professional Dota 2 scene. He shared the news on his X (formerly Twitter) page.
“With the end of the Birmingham event, I’m going inactive or retiring.
It’s been an incredible experience, but the current schedule of a professional player has become too exhausting for me. I enjoyed every moment of playing on stage. I was fortunate not to feel overwhelming stress in the most exciting matches while playing in front of a crowd.I’m grateful to have been known as ‘the vegan’ — it’s very important to me to be able to promote veganism. Thank you to everyone I played with throughout my career, and to everyone who supported me.
Thanks to my girlfriend and family for always being there. Thank you.”
The most successful period of Seleri’s career remains his time with Gaimin Gladiators, with whom he achieved a kind of “Grand Slam” by winning all three Dota 2 Majors in 2023: Lima, Berlin, and Bali.
As a reminder, NAVI started LEC 2026 Spring with a victory over MKOI.
