Sloclap has unveiled a major update for its football simulation game Rematch, timed to coincide with the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Despite not holding an official FIFA license, the developers have prepared a substantial amount of themed content, with the rollout set to begin in the first half of June.
Patch S4.0 is scheduled to launch on June 9, 2026, while the official start of Season 4 will follow on June 10. One day later, on June 11, the game will introduce a new international competition, the Rematch Nations Cup. The tournament will allow players to represent one of the 32 national teams available in the game.
The Nations Cup will consist of six stages. Players will be able to earn points for their selected national teams in both ranked and casual modes, helping their countries advance through the competition. The tournament will culminate in the crowning of Rematch’s first-ever international champions.
Countries that achieve the best results in the final standings will receive exclusive cosmetic reward bundles for their players.
As a reminder, FIFA and Netflix recently unveiled FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
