The debate over when the space RPG Starfield would leave Xbox exclusivity and arrive on PlayStation 5 is now settled. Two verified sources have confirmed the release date and shared additional details about the port.
French insider billbil-kun confirmed the report from Polish colleague Graczdari, who first revealed that Starfield will launch on PlayStation 5 on April 7, including physical disc editions.
As with the Xbox version, the game will be released in two editions: Standard and Premium. The Premium edition will not offer early access. billbil-kun did not specify which bonuses will be included, but the controversial Shattered Space expansion is likely among them.
PS5 players will pay significantly less than on Xbox, which is unsurprising given the criticism the game faced in 2023 and many gamers considering the original price too high. According to billbil-kun, the Standard edition will cost €49.99, while Premium will be €69.99.
Pre-orders for Starfield on PS5 are expected to open on March 18, 2026, or the evening of March 17, with the official announcement likely to happen at the same time.
