Team Falcons have announced that their Dota 2 roster will compete in the playoffs of the BLAST SLAM VII with a stand-in player due to visa issues affecting their lineup.

The team will be without Russian player Malr1ne, who is unable to attend the event. His replacement will be free agent SumaiL (Sumaïl “SumaiL” Hassan).

This is not the first time SumaiL has stepped in for Falcons. He previously played as a substitute for the team at ESL One Birmingham 2024, where the squad secured the championship title, and also at DreamLeague Season 25.

The BLAST SLAM VII playoffs will take place from June 4 to June 7 in Copenhagen. It was previously reported that Russian team PV will miss the playoffs due to visa complications and will be replaced by Team Liquid.

As a reminder, David Jaffe has criticized the announcement of God of War Laufey.
