Verstappen Racing has announced that its sim racing division, previously known as Team Redline, will be renamed Verstappen Sim Racing. The team will now carry the name of four-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen.

This rebranding marks the disappearance of one of the most famous and successful brands in esports racing. Team Redline was founded in 2000 by Dom Duhan and competed in multiple disciplines, including Assetto Corsa, iRacing, and Rennsport. At the Esports World Cup 2024 and Esports World Cup 2025, Team Redline won the Rennsport competitions with a prize pool of $500,000.

Verstappen Racing says it plans to use Verstappen Sim Racing as a platform to help drivers move into real-world motorsport. This path has already been proven by former Team Redline driver Chris Lulham, who won his class at the 24 Hours of Spa and claimed Gold Cup titles in Endurance and Sprint championships together with Thierry Vermeulen.

Max Verstappen himself is a well-known sim racing enthusiast and often streams racing simulators during the Formula 1 offseason.

Recall that agent Tejo was temporarily disabled in VALORANT due to a critical bug.
