The French esports organization Team Vitality has officially announced its departure from StarCraft II. This comes two years after the club signed a roster in the discipline in 2024.

The decision is linked to the absence of StarCraft II from the list of titles at this year’s Esports World Cup 2026. The removal of the game from the major EWC tournament program caused a wave of dissatisfaction within the community, as the scene was left without its main RTS event of the year.

During their time with Vitality, the players achieved notable success. In particular, team leader Maru won DreamHack Dallas in 2025 and finished in the top eight at last year’s Esports World Cup.

The trio of players — Maru, Ryung, and Zoun — along with manager CranK, will return to competing under the ONSYDE tag in the 2026 season.

It should be noted that the full list of participants for First Stand Tournament 2026 has also been determined, along with the results of the group stage draw.
