An analyst predicts that CD Projekt Red may spend around $800 million on the development and marketing of The Witcher 4. This was stated by Polish analyst Mateusz Chrzanowski.
According to the analyst, the game’s development alone could cost approximately $400 million, with a similar amount expected to be spent on marketing.
Such a high development cost is attributed to the addition of a multiplayer mode. This is also cited as the reason for the game’s release being pushed back to Q4 2030.
The analyst also predicts that a new expansion for The Witcher 3 will be released in May 2026 and will sell around 11 million copies over the following year. The DLC’s development budget is estimated at approximately $14.5 million.
However, this information should be treated with a degree of skepticism, as it represents an analyst’s forecast rather than official data from CD Projekt Red.
As a reminder, the new Fable is set to release this fall on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
