Commentator Oleksii “BafiK” Bafadarov has revealed more details about the Ukrainian Dota League. The first season kicks off on April 11 and will run until May 15.
There will be no MMR restrictions in the league, as this season is intended to build a core player base.
Format: Captains Draft
- Each match will feature a limited hero pool automatically determined by Dota 2. Captains will have priority in drafting but can pass this responsibility to other players if they wish.
Language Requirement
- Communication in both league and in-game chat is allowed exclusively in Ukrainian.
Player Matching System
- During the first week, matches will be formed via a queue system: once 10 players join, a lobby is created.
- After the player base grows, matchmaking will shift to a rating-based system.
- Party play is disabled to reduce imbalance and prevent system abuse.
