Mongolian esports organization The MongolZ has officially confirmed the signing of 28-year-old Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga from The Huns, corroborating an October 1 report by HLTV. Joining him in the active lineup is Anarbileg "cobrazera" Uuganbayar, who returns after spending nearly three months on the bench.
The new additions fill the vacancies created by the double benching of Zolbayar "tikuak" Chimedtseren and Dugarsuren "DarkMeister" Ireedui. The previous roster's final tournament appearance came at FISSURE Playground 3, where cobrazera stood in for Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold.
The move marks nin9's return to The MongolZ, having previously represented the tag in 2018 alongside current head coach Erdenedalai "maaRaa" Bayanbat. Furthermore, nin9 reunites with Techno, bLitz, and maaRaa: in 2022, this core made history under IHC as the first Mongolian team to qualify for a Major, ultimately finishing 1-3 in the Challengers Stage in Antwerp.
The organization expects nin9's arrival to provide much-needed stability following a rough start to the season. The MongolZ currently hold the 48th spot in the world rankings and risk losing the No. 2 position in Asia to BC.Game.
The updated roster is set to debut at the $100,000 1win Private Club Season 2 LAN event in Belgrade, scheduled for October 19–22. Immediately following that, the team will compete at PGL Masters Bucharest from October 24 to 31.
