Sony may host its next regular State of Play presentation within the coming weeks, according to two well known industry insiders.
The first mention of a February showcase came from NateTheHate, who shared the information while responding to a question from one of his followers. Shortly after that, journalist and blogger Jeff Grubb provided more specific details during the Game Mess Mornings podcast. He stated that the upcoming State of Play is very likely to take place on February 12 or on another day during the same week.
It is worth noting that February 12 falls on a Thursday, which is traditionally the day Sony chooses for its gaming presentations.
As for the lineup, the audience will most likely see fresh footage from the roguelike shooter Saros — a sequel to Returnal, scheduled to launch on April 30, 2026, exclusively on PlayStation 5.
Viewers should also expect new information about the spy action game Marvel's Wolverine. The title is considered Sony’s biggest release of 2026 and is currently expected to arrive in the fall.
