The latest Counter-Strike 2 update significantly changes one of the core gameplay elements — the reload mechanic. Now, if a player doesn’t fire all the bullets and starts reloading, the remaining ammo is no longer returned to the reserve; instead, the entire magazine is discarded, forcing players to be more mindful.
Alongside this, Valve have reworked the ammo balance: most weapons now have around three full magazines in reserve, with some exceptions. A table showing the ammo count changes is provided below:

The update also introduces new features for learning grenades. In the first five rounds of each half in competitive matches, map guides are now available to help players quickly recall useful utility.
In addition, joining custom games has become much easier: you can now easily connect to friends even on Workshop maps.
