Shanghai police have carried out a successful operation detaining three individuals involved in the незакон dissemination of unreleased data from popular games developed by miHoYo, including Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.

The investigation began last autumn after suspicious network activity was detected at miHoYo’s office. Soon after, videos started appearing publicly that showcased upcoming characters, new locations, and animations that were, at the time, available only in closed test builds of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.

Authorities identified the suspects as individuals with the surnames Su, Wu, and Zhou.

miHoYo has repeatedly stated that it maintains a strict “zero tolerance” policy toward leaks.

Earlier, an update was released for Alan Wake Remastered, adding HDR support and enabling up to 240 frames per second.
