It looks like there will be three new games in the God of War universe. The first will be a remake of the original trilogy, the second will continue God of War and may shift the focus toward Atreus. The third game will center on Faye, Kratos’ wife, specifically her origin. At least, this is what well-known insider NateTheHate claims.
The game is planned for release in 2027. The insider reports that Santa Monica Studio’s new project is set in the God of War universe and will feature Faye, Kratos’ wife from the Norse saga, as the main character. The gameplay is expected to focus more on action.
NateTheHate’s information was confirmed by another insider, Nick Baker, who said the game will indeed center on Faye and will have a style closer to the Devil May Cry series.
Previously, Sony Santa Monica confirmed it is working on a remake of the God of War Greek Trilogy. The studio also recently released a 2D action game, God of War: Sons of Sparta, on PS5, co-developed with Mega Cat Studios.
