Ukrainian club LEO has officially announced a transition to an experimental “5 + 2” roster model, which предусматриє using two different lineup variations for online tournaments and LAN events.
This approach will allow the team to develop more effectively in the VRS ranking and adapt more flexibly to different competitive conditions. One of the reasons behind this change is that players OneUn1que and Malkiss live in Ukraine and are over 22 years old, which affects the team’s ability to progress in the VRS ranking, as they are unable to attend European LAN tournaments that currently provide a major boost in points.
According to the new concept, LEO will build a core of three main players, rotating two others depending on the tournament format. The first addition under this system is leen, while one more player is yet to be announced. The organization also emphasized its intention to sign exclusively Ukrainian players. At the moment, the roster includes amster, Malkiss, marat2k, kL1o, OneUn1que, and leen.
