Ukrainian Esports Federation Bans s1mple from Its Tournaments

The Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF) has presented its updated esports disciplinary policy. The federation also published a list of players who are banned from participating in its tournaments.

Among those banned by UESF is Oleksandr s1mple Kostyliev. He received a one-year ban for playing in a team with a Russian player. According to the policy, after each match played with a representative of the Russian Federation in the lineup, his disqualification will be extended by one additional year from the date of the match.

The federation also issued bans for other violations:

  • For violations of rules regarding crossing the state border of Ukraine (until obligations are fulfilled), the following players were banned: Polbandana, byr9, Andrii Zdrok, and Qweal (for traveling to Moscow).
  • For participation in official matches in a team with Russian players, the following were disqualified: bodyaN, s-chilla, baz, zont1x, synyx, s1zzi, sFade8, Rulik, Mira, Yatoro, Yuragi, dualrazee, Norma, Resolut1on, yowaii, laise, Darklord^, Kidaro, niche, fortniteMan, shigetsu, No[o]ne-, and batyuk.
  • For participation in official matches in a team with Russian players and anti-Ukrainian statements, Sdaim was banned.
  • For involvement in a Russian organization, the following were disqualified:
    str, lif3, flee, and MUV.
  • For involvement in match-fixing, the following were banned: hodix and nifee.
  • For cheating, the following were disqualified: kyogeN (aka darknesszz-), jullius, crickeyyy, and jackast.
  • For covering up a cheating player, Prox1S was banned.
  • bodyaN was disqualified for multiple violations (playing official matches with Russian players, match-fixing (322), and cheating).

As a reminder, a player from the Echo team broke his coach’s nose during a victory celebration after a match.
