Ukrainian squad B8 got off to a disappointing start at Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, suffering a defeat in its opening match against FURIA.
B8 selected Mirage as their map pick and began on the T side, but managed to secure only three rounds before halftime. After switching sides, the Ukrainian team looked more competitive and mounted a stronger defense. However, the Brazilians had already built a significant lead and eventually closed out the map with a 13:10 victory.
FURIA then picked Inferno. On the second map, the Brazilian side took control from the outset and never looked back, comfortably securing a 13:4 win to seal the series.

Following the result, FURIA move to a 1–0 record in the Stage 3 bracket, while B8 drop to 0–1.
The MVP of the match was Brazilian star Kaike 'KSCERATO' Cerato, who finished the series with a 1.38 rating.

IEM Cologne Major 2026 is being held from June 2 to June 21 in Cologne and features a prize pool of $1.25 million.
As a reminder, Team Vitality has extended its residency at the Stade de France through 2026.
