Inkfish, the marine research organization owned by Valve co-founder Gabe Newell, has signed a contract with Norwegian shipbuilding company Vard to design and construct the innovative RV11000, a 531-foot deep-sea research vessel. The deal is valued at approximately $816 million.
According to Vard, the project is the largest single order in the company's history and the biggest contract of its kind ever awarded to Norway's shipbuilding industry.

The vessel is being purpose-built for deep-ocean exploration and seabed mapping. The RV11000 will feature the largest battery system ever installed on a ship, allowing it to operate in completely silent mode for up to 12 hours.
With a beam of nearly 92 feet, the vessel will be able to accommodate up to 130 crew members and researchers, most of whom will have private cabins. Its premium interior will include shared living areas, office space, research laboratories, and fully equipped workshops.
As a reminder, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will become a standalone application, leaving the Call of Duty HQ launcher.
