The popular virtual K-pop group K/DA from the League of Legends universe could make its long-awaited return later this year. According to reliable League of Legends insider LeagueOfLeaks on X, the group's comeback is planned for Season 3 of 2026.
Riot Games is reportedly preparing both new music and a fresh line of themed in-game skins to accompany the return.
K/DA consists of four League of Legends champions: Ahri, Akali, Kai'Sa, and Evelynn. If the reports prove accurate, it will mark the group's first new content in six years. Their most recent single, MORE, was released in October 2020.
Despite the lengthy hiatus, K/DA remains highly popular. The group still attracts more than 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, while their six released songs have accumulated over 1.4 billion streams on the platform. In addition, K/DA's tracks were officially added to the rhythm game Rift of the NecroDancer last week as part of a special collaboration.
It remains unclear whether Riot Games will reunite the original vocal lineup for the new songs or introduce a refreshed cast of performers. The original recordings featured Miyeon and Soyeon from South Korean girl group (G)I-DLE, alongside American singers Madison Beer and Jaira Burns.
New music from K/DA would also likely be accompanied by another large-scale performance during the League of Legends World Championship, similar to the Worlds 2018 opening ceremony in Incheon, where AR technology was used to bring the virtual members to life on stage.
Earlier, Ukrainian player Kvem officially joined Eternal Fire.
