MOUZ player Dorian xertioN Berman gave a short interview to Players correspondent Sofiia Pikhalo after the victory over FURIA at the IEM Cologne 2025.
Congratulations on your today's win. How do you feel after this match?
To be honest, I'm feeling a bit mixed feelings at the moment. I'm a bit surprised we're still in the tournament. I think that they played a bit better than us today. I think that we really didn't play our best. We just won a lot of close rounds, so I'm still happy we're in the tournament, but tomorrow we need to be better.
Why was it so hard to beat on Train? To finish this match?
I think today in general was hard for us. I think we played super average. I think that I was really not focused on some maps. On the T side we made a lot of good calls, but we just didn't listen to Brollan. I'm a bit disappointed in myself at the moment. Of course, I'm happy with the win, but I think that we got lucky to still be here.
Did you feel that you lacked some support from Jimpphat or Brollan?
Lack of support? You mean like by frags?
Like stats and firepower.
Of course, it would be easier if they killed 30, but at the end of the day I think that we need to play better as a team. We are not there at the moment, so I think that it's not about them at all.
So, why do you think FURIA beat you on your map, the second map?
As I said, I just think we were super off today. We were really not focused on T side.
I think I had like 2-10. I gave up a lot of entries and I made it really easy for them to play the game, I feel like. So, yeah, I have to review the game and see what I can do better.
What helped you to finally on this final, final map, grab together yourself and beat in the end?
What helped us was that we just stayed calm and we trusted our system. I think that torzsi was giving us some really good energy and I think that sycrone had some really good timeouts. I think that Brollan was really confident in his calling, so it helped us a lot. Overall, I think it came down to the wire, you know, it was really close, rounds ended in the last 5 seconds very often. And they really pushed us, so I'm just happy we won.
Do you think this call that you have, while you have some pauses, is enough or you wanted more to have? More than just 3 in the map and 1 on the overtime.
I think the timeouts is good, I think that 3 is a balance because of the new MR12. So I think that at the moment it's good that there is only 3 timeouts.
